This beach hosts the renowned Ocean Games, an annual July event featuring a challenging 9-mile ocean swim along with 3-mile and relay options. The 9-mile swim runs parallel to shore with current assist, showcasing Ocean City as one of the East Coast’s premier open water swimming venues. The event benefits Johns Hopkins Brain and Stroke Rehabilitation Program and has raised over $120,000 for charity since its 2013 debut.
