Fullerton Avenue Seawall Chicago Open Water Swimming

A seawall location accessible down tiered steps to multiple sets of sturdy ladders. Fullerton can be a perfect place for a swim even during times of high traffic of other lake activity (boats, other swimmers, beach lifeguards, Lake Shore Path traffic) that might interfere with or present a hazard to your swim elsewhere in Chicago. Swim south to North Avenue beach and back for a 2000m/2200 yard swim. Learn more about this in our blog. Not a designated swim area by Chicago Park district so there are no lifeguards, also no actively enforced prohibition on swimming.
