Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park is located in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, providing access to Lake Erie through a 21-acre family-friendly beach facility. The sandy beach features a gradually sloping bottom and is sheltered by breakwalls that help reduce wave action, making it particularly suitable for calm water swimming when surf and wind come from the west. Access is via Huntington Beach Road off Lake Road, with ample free parking in paved lots near the beach entrance. Facilities include restrooms with changing rooms, outdoor showers, a seasonal concessions stand, picnic areas with pavilions and grills, volleyball courts, a large playground, and the Harbor View Boardwalk designed for accessibility. The park also offers kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals during the summer season.

The site was recognized by Coastal Living magazine as the Best Beach in Ohio. Open water swimmers can connect with O*H*I*O Masters Swim Club for organized swimming opportunities throughout the Lake Erie region.

Water quality monitoring is conducted daily by Lake County General Health District between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The monitoring program uses a predictive model analyzing E. coli levels and environmental factors, with results posted 24 hours after sampling. Lifeguards are on duty during peak summer hours in the designated swimming area. The park is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., though lifeguard services and concessions operate seasonally. Swimmers should avoid entering the water for 24 to 48 hours following heavy rainfall of half an inch or more.
